    From The Pipeline:

The New York Daily News is apparently offering buyouts. Believe they are looking for 25 people total...

Me again - anyone know more? PM or post here if you have info. 25 seems like a small number. No layoffs mentioned, which is good.

The number, from what I have heard is at least double that.

It's 25 (out of an editorial staff of 350). If they don't get 25, there will be layoffs.

I heard 25 also, which I think they should be able to get. All editorial. The writers were called last night and for some it was totally out of the blue.

I've heard from numerous Pipeline folks today that 25 is indeed the number.

25 is the number. definitely 25. isn't that like tossing a lounge chair off the queen mary? methinks the dn's editorial staff is more than 350.

whatever. 25 is the number. definitely 25.
