Yeah, but not quite on par with that Gomer guy who's causing all the trouble around here.

    Geezus, people.

Look, I'll step up and take the asshole tag on this one. Like I care. But if I hadn't started it, someone else would have, either before or after Hustle posted the info.

I don't need it. I actually know how to be a reporter.

I would say if you work for a small paper and don't know anyone affiliated with the team, your request for a phone interview -- made Thursday evening before the conference championship game on Sunday -- might be low on the priority list.

The hell with the department, call the agent. (Also searchable).

This, I think we can all agree on. In fact, if you're calling the main Eagles' office you may be SOL. They've probably cleared out for Arizona already. You're much better off trying to reach the player through an agent or a local contact (family member, high school coach, something like that).

One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was that a good reporter doesn't know everything, but he does know where to look for it. Forgive Strunk for thinking this might be a place he could turn to point him in the right direction.

I love these threads. Lazy reporters and cranky old guys are my two favorite types of people.

My original point was that your world apparently came to an end because you didn't like what you read. It was intended to be partially humorous because you appeared to be so angry at everyone else for being snarky in their posts. But I digress.

I admit I was wrong because you don't appear to be angry at all.

Try to have a nice day, if that's possible.
