I'll need to be included in some prayers for the next three weeks, or so.

Sunday I report to the Army's Basic Airborne Course at Ft. Benning, Ga. Three weeks of training that culminates in five jumps, including one with all the war gear (I'm sure that'll be really fun).

Lots of twisted and broken ankles, but very few chute failures, thankfully.

I'm terribly afraid of heights, but it'll be pretty dog-gone fun, I think.

    Any skydivers here?

That's part of the reason I'm doing it. Gotta meet those fears head-on.

Good on you for that TBF. Fair winds and following seas. There's nothing like the military to help you face your fears.

Good luck, Three Bags. And hey, Karma's already on your side--you'll be at Benning not in the middle of summer, but when it's cool outside.

Are you already in the service, or is this something you're doing as a civilian?

Good luck, 3B. This is one of many things in life which I could not do.

Same goes for me. Good luck. That's something I couldn't even try.

Couldn't even think of doing it.

But it's because of people like 3Bf, who CAN do it, we as a country are fortunate.

I am aware of how that reads. Very corny.

Still...Thanks for your service, and good luck.
