    You mean Jay Paris? He's still there. Not sure if he's still has the Chargers beat, but he has been a columnist for them the last couple of years.

    That's him. I had to do research on a story and his feature stuff was better than Trotter, who is now at SI. This was ages ago, but I remember being really impressed.

    From the newsrooms perspective it is probably better after the bankruptcy filing. But the shareholders are usually wiped out so the period before the filing will be frantic as management throws everyone they can over the side.
