    As I am an old person, I remember some great 'slides.' How about Boomer Esiason, who set 17 school passing records, falling to 38th pick (2nd round) in 1984? He led the Bengals to a Super Bowl, was NFL MVP in '88, and had a pretty nice career in a bunch of places. He went in the second round but two of his teammates at Maryland, guard Ron Solt and defensive end Pete Koch, were first-round picks. No, you won't see them in Canton. And guess who was passionately arguing that Esiason had slid too far? Mel Kiper Jr.

    Kiper loves Maryland QBs.

    In the span of a week, Aaron Rodgers went from being the likely No. 1 pick to almost falling out of the first round. I think it's funny that five years later, if you had to do the draft again, he would be the top pick by a mile.
