Guess he needs the steady paycheck from NBC, no President The Donald

 

What was the strategic reason for Obama to boot him from the race so quickly? Was he afraid that he would make Romney, Daniel, et al, look like serious candidates? On one hand, I can see that. On the other hand, if I'm the Democrat party, I let the GOP fight over the birth certificate for a while and look unserious. It concerns me that Obama overplayed his hand here.

 

No such thing as the "Democrat Party," Dick.

And Trump is jealous of Chad Ochocinco. His bull ride lasted longer than Trump's B.S. presidential campaign.

Good riddance, jackwagon.

 

I'm just concerned that this might not be the greatest thing for Obama.

Remember also that week's sequence went something like this:

1) Obama releases BC, shutting up the birthers (some of them anyway)

2) Gadhafi's compound is bombed, killing several including his son; we only found out for sure that Moammar himself survived a couple days ago

3) The operation to kill OBL.

Maybe Obama was hoping for a real 1-2-3 grand slam - BC, kill Gadhafi, kill Osama - in the course of about 5 days.

It might indeed have served Obama's long-term interests to drag out the birther stuff a little longer, let some of the other Republic gadflies march into that tar pit and see if they got themselves entangled. But, the longer the birther crap dragged on, the percentage of people thinking it might be true seemed to be gradually creeping upwards.

 

Trump didn't want to disclose his toupee expenditures.

 

Don't think it hurts Obama directly, but do think it hurts overall interest in election, which may hurt him indirectly.

 

That concerns me.
