No National Signing Day thread?

If for no other reason, we should be celebrating the brief reprieve from recruiting gurus talking about hard leans, soft verbals and silent commitments.

 

I will say that my hopes and thoughts that Meyer's indecision about stepping down/coming back would hurt recruiting have been proven wrong. ;D

So (name the athlete), what made you change your mind at the last minute and take the Trojans over the Gators?

Athlete: "Well, I just thought USC was a better fit for me personally. I like the new coach and the new direction."

The truth?
Athlete: "Well, I was about to sign the bill of sale for my new pickup truck when USC called. They were taking back the Prius and throwing me a Mercedes AND not one, but two hostesses every weekend that I gained over 100 yards in total offense. That's a deal I couldn't pass up."

Any truth to the blog rumors that the truck dealer was going to report USC?
Athlete: "Yeah, but then Mack Brown called and wanted mine and two more for a couple of his four-stars."

I was hoping that everyone would post their exciting signing-day photos.

 

We have a new policy where we're REQUIRED to run signing day photos.

Gag me.

 

Just Division I, or all of them?

 

Division II as well. :

(To be fair, we usually don't have a ton of college-bound athletes)

 

Stories about verbal committments are worse. Especially when a large percentage of them change their minds between their verbal and signing day.
