    Fixed.

Glanville did a great job raising Portland State's profile in the community - reaching out to the media, raising awareness - they even had a show about the stuff that went on behind the scenes with the team.

That said, the team hasn't been good, or getting better. People ended up becoming more aware that Portland State had a crappy football team. It's in a tough spot, it will always be the fourth biggest story at best in the local sports scene behind the blazers, ducks and beavers, the school's last successful coach left for an assistant's job at Army of all places.

Portland State has a pretty good football history and the guy who left for Army (and a pay raise as the OC), Tim Walsh, had seven winning seasons in his final 8, despite the hardships attributable to moving up from D-II to I-AA.

He was not overwhelmingly popular with the players and a dwindling fan base, either.
