    Webb, Lincecum or Sabathia?

I'd go with Webb, but Lincecum has a pretty strong case.

Who do I think will win or who should win?

I don't see how it can be anybody other than Lincecum. Leads the NL in strikeouts by a sizable margin, leads the NL in ERA. Very comparable WHIP and IP to Webb.

If your argument is that Webb plays for a playoff contender, then that takes Cliff Lee out of the equation in the AL.

It's not that. Dispute the stat all you want, but if Webb finishes with 21 wins and Lincecum has 16 or 17, it'll be an uphill battle for him.

I think if Webb finishes strong, he's still going to get it over Lincecum. But if these last two lousy starts are the beginning of a trend, Lincecum's going to win it.

Sabathia finished third unless both fade.

Webb will likely win it, but Lincecum should.

I have a vote and if I had to cast it today, Lincecum is the easy choice for the top line on my ballot. In addition to the best ERA and the most Ks in the league, the dude is 15-3 for a team that was 20 games under .500 through Wednesday. Think about that one for a moment. Just my opinion.

    Gotta go with Webb.

    It's Webb or Lincecum.

CC will end up with more starts in the AL (18) than NL (probably 16)... doesn't cut it.

Lincecum's edge over Webb is 2.60 ERA to 3.19.
Webb's edge is 21 or 22 wins to maybe 18 and on a division winner -- although 18-4 or something like that on the pathetic Giants should be a huge plus.

    K/BB ratio equal (L = 216/72, W = 160/51)
    WHIP equal (L = 1.187, W = 1.172)
    IP equal (L = 190, W = 192)

Say Sabathia has five starts left and wins three of them and goes 12-0.
His ERA should be under 2 this season; his WHIP is around 1.0 and he's getting almost 9 Ks per 9 - he's not the best pitcher in the NL this year?

Sabathia should win if he gets to 12 or 13 wins; Lincecum second, Webb third, Harden fourth.
