There is no comparison between the most diehard of Alabama fans with the most diehard of Steelers or Eagles or Giants fans. I've never heard of a Steelers fans having a framed photo of Art Rooney in the living room next to the picture of Jesus, but I have heard of a framed photo of Bear Bryant.
