    Now you're getting into gobbledygook territory. They were the worst team in football last year by light-years, in all phases.

    They went from two wins to 11. There is no way to un-amaze that number.

    I'll forget about all the mocking that Jim Sorgi and Curtis Painter endured as Peyton Manning's backup. They were all regarded as quality backups. Well, Painter was until everyone realized the Colts made a game of the position.

    It just shows how great Manning was. The Colts had been unravelling for a few years after their Super Bowl win, but Manning would play to their strengths, cover up the weaknesses and everyone thought they were better across the board than they really were.

    Take Manning off the Broncos and they'd be about 8-8 or 9-7 even in a crappy division.
