His voice is completely wrong for broadcasting football.

I thought the same thing last year with John Riggins on the radio. He has acting credits and knows the game, but listening to him was a painful experience.

To answer my own question, that last playoff spot is between the Giants and the Packers. ESPN said the Pack have a 5,000-to-1 shot of making the playoffs. Wonder if NBC now thinks it chose the wrong game for its finale ....

Is Drew Brees going to play tomorrow? I still have one week of nearly meaningless fantasy football to finish.

I'd rather Lloyd and Harry did the broadcast tomorrow night for Favre.

Here's the rundown on the Packers-Giants scenario. I pity Packers fans:

The NY Giants clinch strength of victory tiebreaker over Green Bay if:

    - DET loses OR

    - MIN loses OR

    - Any two of the following results occur: ARZ loss, MIA loss, SF loss, CAR win, HOU win, TB win

Green Bay Packers clinch strength of victory tiebreaker over NY Giants if ALL of the following occur:

    - ARZ win, DET win, MIA win, MIN win, SF win, CAR loss, HOU loss, TB loss.

If the NY Giants and Green Bay Packers end up tied in strength of victory, then tie will be decided by strength of schedule.

Strength of victory ... sounds like something from American Gladiators.

Well, at least Packer fans will know there will be no playoffs by 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT.

I've always thought Riggo was great on the radio. Of course, it may just be because he's infinitely more entertaining than anyone else on the radio in DC, which has some of the worst sports talk anywhere.
