NFL Week 13 thread: The league tries to hide its horrible officiating

    And therein is a big problem. There's a faction that wants a game to be officiated with perfection, but there are plays and calls that are unreviewable and sometimes it's these that happen at key moments and impact who wins and loses. We all realize the danger of using replay even more; no one (except an advertiser) wants 4-hour games to be the norm.

    What about Utley's takeout slide on Ruben Tejada in the NLDS? Fact is, they review those plays all the time and, then are forced to determine if there was a chance at a double play, or if it was really just a force play at second, blah, blah, blah. It's a total mess.
