I know he settled a lawsuit years back against a doctor - don't know if he was part of this one.

The NFL now has all sorts of rules, education programs, new equipment and research programs all created with the stated purpose of reducing concussions and head injuries. If anyone is suggesting the players currently in the game will have some sort of case that the league is hiding the dangers of concussions and ignoring them as a safety issue, that's going to be a tough sell.

Did he end up settling? The only story I found was from when he won his case, but there was likely to be an appeal.

Hoge has been outspoken about the treatment of concussions, but he has continued to support the game. He slammed Kurt Warner for saying he wouldn't want his kids to play. Haven't heard what he had to say about the lawsuits and settlement.

There has been talk that the NFL has actively hidden research. I don't know exactly what it is, but that's something that the book by the Fainarus touches on. If that's the case, players of today would certainly be able to demonstrate that the league was hiding the dangers.

I saw the name of the lawyer and all I could think of was how surprised I am that this man reproduced.
