    I can't see McDaniels getting fired during the season, no matter how bad it gets. Then Bowlen would really have egg on his face. I think Bowlen's committed to sinking or swimming with this kid at least for a year or two. I think the last thing Bowlen wants to do is pay three salaries at once.

    The Chargers winning the division has got to be the easiest pick on the board. Oakland's been a train wreck for a few years and Denver's just become one. The only scant possibility of them being challenged is the Chiefs making a Miami Dolphins-type turnaround this year.
