    If Edelman comes back as healthy as Pats fans confidently assume on no evidence and nobody else gets hurt, New England will repeat as champs over Arizona. Those are big ifs, and if they don't come to pass, the Cardinals will defeat either the Broncos or Chiefs to win their first Super Bowl.

    Players whose careers ended with a playoff loss or a meaningless regular-season game: Everyone else.
