  3. Edelman is about a dinger away from hanging out with Wayne Cherbet and Wes Welker.

This is cool. NFL Films was able to stitch together the original broadcast of Super Bowl I for the first time, and NFL Network will air it in full on Friday night. Most of the tapes had been lost over the years.
They've done this with some other Super Bowls, and have done some similar things with the "NFL's Greatest Games" series that are always fun to watch.

For first time ever, Super Bowl I will re-air in full

I wonder if they will use excerpts from both the CBS and NBC broadcasts. Game was on both networks. I remember we watched on the NBC broadcast because such was the state of the TV art that it for some reason had better color resolution than CBS. I think it was Gowdy and DeRogatis for NBC and Summerall and Brookshier for CBS, but I sure could be wrong.

Very few clips from TV. NFL Films filmed every play. Seems interesting, as NFL Network will put a scoreboard bug, first own and line of scrimmage lines into the production.

There have been many worse Super Bowls. First half was highly competitive, then class told.

IIRC, that led to an infamous glitch. They had to redo the second half kickoff because the CBS broadcast was still in commercial, but the NBC broadcast was live.

Kind of surprising that even with two networks broadcasting the game they couldn't produce a full tape until now.

Wayne Chrebet was too fucking good to have his name misspelled on this board. Carry on.
