NFL laying off 150, possibly Steve Sabol of NFL Films

I find it baffling, even under the current economic climate, that the NFL has to lay off employees. The billion-dollar TV contract alone, let alone all of monies coming in from NFL properties, marketing agreements, etc., should be keeping the league offices afloat, shouldn't it?

It's insulting to all the businesses that actually HAVE to.

The worst kind of cowardice, doing shit like this when you know you can because no one will bat an eyelash.

Exactly. I don't see why the NFL can't bite the bullet for a few years and keep these people employed.

Sabol has said this before, but other than the NFL, the only thing that has been more thoroughly and lovingly captured by film is World War II.
