    "With the eighth pick in the xxxx NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers take Vartholomeos Papahartofylakakopoulos, Greece."

    Fans' reaction: "Huh? Who? Wha . . . ?"

    When those kinds of picks became the norm, the NBA draft lost its status as a must-see event.
