    Why would you say that? Is KU some sort of journalistic utopia where they produce journalism stars? Who from KU has amounted to anything in this business? I have nothing against that school, just asking and wondering why you assume anybody out of that particular school is a competent professional?

    William Allen White knew a little bit about journalism.
    Word has it William Inge knew his way around the written word as well.
    You might have seen or heard Bill Kurtis somewhere ...

    I think what he was saying is that why does where someone went to school automatically override his eye-popping blogging on the side? If he went to Syracuse, Missouri, Northwestern, etc., he would still have to answer for deciding to blog about his school's rival and then covering that school.

  7. Good way to put it. Maybe I misunderstood him too, because I had the same thought as Freddie, with KU having a very reputable journalism program.
