The Fayetteville Observer seeks a copy editor/page designer for our universal desk who wants to become part of an award-winning, forward-thinking team of journalists. The ideal candidate will have copy-editing and design experience in all sections, including news, features, sports and special sections. Knowledge of grammar, AP style and headline writing are important. Our 50,000-circulation paper consistently wins statewide awards for design, enterprise reporting, photography and writing. We place a high priority on eye-catching, well-organized section fronts and on clean and consistent inside pages. Fayetteville is located between the Atlantic coast and Raleigh. Independently owned, the paper covers Fort Bragg, one of the nation's largest Army bases, and a 10-county region. Send a resume and work samples to Deputy Editor Bobby Parker at parkerb@fayobserver.com or P.O. Box 849, Fayetteville, NC 28302. The Fayetteville Observer is an equal opportunity employer.
