Newbie High School Football Question

    How small are your press boxes?

    Press boxes up here are so small that the PA announcer has to step outside to change his call about which team won the coin toss.

    Maybe fit four or go up above on the roof with the four or five coaches. A school I regularly cover doesn't have a press box. Just walled off area for PA equipment.

    Growing up in Phoenix, the press boxes at most high schools in my area were just as small.

    That happened with the indoor football team I covered this summer. The ONLY time I ever got stats in time to do a gamer was after the first game I covered. After that, I either went with the stats I came up with or I focused on the story behind the game more so than any stats.
