Reason No. 1,354 why Steinbrenner will be burning in hell. I'm not fond of the Yankees, but it's hardly Torre's fault. The pitching rotation is stocked with 1998 all-stars, and Torre is to blame? Please. Anybody who can handle all that with class is a better man than me.

 

Well ... Steinbrenner's officially lost it.

Torre can handle the Boss Circus. Hell, Sweet Lou almost went berserk in Tampa.

(Yes, I know the Deviled Eggs were run into the ground, but the type of stupidity is much, much more low-key than Steinbrenner.)

 

A prominent Yankees site knew about this before ESPN did.

 

I'd love to see Torre coaching the Royals.

 

If they replace Torre, they're foolish. It can't be easy to manage all of the egos in that clubhouse. And then there's the Boss ...

 

Of all the reasons I hate the Yankees, canning Joe Torre might become No. 1 on the list.

I love it. It means the Yankees will be as stable as a Molotov cocktail again.
