New to This Board and Saying Hello

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by eyeonsportsmedia, Dec 3, 2007.

  1. Good morning,

I am new to this board, turned on to it by a colleague I worked a television game with yesterday. I started a new online publication a couple of weeks ago called
<a href="http://www.eyeonsportsmedia.com">'Eye on Sports Media"</a>, which will focus on stories, news and commentary on the sports media industry (print, tv and radio). Outside of Sports, I am a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Compliance Solutions Advisor Magazine, a Guest Editor for <a href="http://members.nowpublic.com/christopher-byrne">NowPublic.com</a>, have a column on <a href="http://tcgathens.newsvine.com/">NewsVine.com</a>, and write for a few business/technical journals. I also have a blog, <a href="http://www.controlscaddy.com">The Business Controls Caddy</a>, which focuses on Business Process Controls issues for technology shops.

I look forward to reading and participating in the discussions here.

    Cheers!

    Chris

    Welcome to the board eyeonsportmedia.

Since you are a newbie, go fetch me a Keith's beer.

I say welcome as well. Enjoy the board, have fun... and above all, don't piss the main board members off ;) ;D

I would tell you to fetch me a beer too, but i'm not at 500 posts yet, so technically I'm still a newbie.

  4. I don't fetch nobodies beer, I stopped being a runner 23 years ago ;-)

  5. 500 posts to tell someone to fetch me a beer? I need to step up my production.

Yup, and I learned the hard way when I was a newbie. ::) :-X

So nice to be on the other end now, demanding beers from newbies. And it can't be just any old beer, has to be Keith's. ;D

Because you're a newbie. Now fetch me a left-handed comma adjuster. STAT!

    . . . and a key to the pitcher's box, after that.

Takes a while to wholly absorb the local culture. So long as you have a sense of humor, would think you'll find it amusing.

Cansportschick -- Keith's? Is this a local beverage in the Great White North, eh? :D
