New study says sugar can be just as addictive as cocaine and heroin

So I have an excuse?

 

It's the most addictive drug in the world, if you ask me.

 

I haven't tried cocaine or heroin, but I would imagine neither is nearly as delicious.

 

I bet it would be if you were addicted to it.

As for sugar being addictive, I can totally believe it. I have a friend addicted to Dr. Pepper. She goes through full withdraw symptoms if she doesn't get it. When she's really stressing over life stuff, she will go through a case like it's nothing.

 

Right, but would it actually taste good? I mean it's not like addicts are like 'mmmmmmmm, smack!' It's fulfilling, but not tasty.

 

Where's IJAG? Oh, that's right. She's waiting for the sugar truck at the grocery store.

 

Cocaine's like confectionery sugar. It's not quite like the real thing, but it works. It's best on pancakes.

 

Completely believable. I drink neither alcohol nor coffee, and I do no drugs.

Sugar, though, is a different tune.

So yeah. Sugar? Bring it.

J&E, friend of mine who is a former addict says crack tastes like whatever you want it to be. She could have been craving a steak dinner, and that's what she would get.
