Depending on which message board or newsgroup you read fans are split on Working on a Dream. There's some that absolutely love it and some that hate it because of shallow lyrics and not enough rock.

I fall somewhere in the middle. I'm enjoying a little more with each listen, as some of the melodies are great (reminiscent of 60s Beach Boys and Byrds) but some of the lyrics are awful (Queen of the Supermarket, despite its catchy tune). It seems Bruce is entering a power-pop phase where he's just making fun music and not caring about the lyrical depth that drew fans to his music in the first place.

Here's the US Tour intinarary with onsale dates in parenthesis. With nearly every show going on sale the day after the Super Bowl, so hopefully the performance sucks so there won't be any bandwagon jumpers competing for tickets <G>
I'm aiming to make both Philly shows and both Meadowlands shows. If I make it to all 4, I will hit the 100 show milestone (including guest appearances in bars).

That's what I get for thinking that music talk is Anything Goes and not news <G>
