Too bad that Jeffery Dahmer is dead.

He could have a cooking show on the Food Channel.

They just wouldn't have to mention the bad stuff.

    Everybody already knows that story.

I'm a Reds fan and think Pete is a miserable human being. But I can separate that from the ballplayer, and for a couple hours I'd enjoy reliving his on-field exploits. Doesn't mean I have to condone everything else.

Movie-wise, I'd look forward to the players' and Marty's recollections too. Was just a great time for baseball in Cincinnati. I've read Poz's "The Machine" and everything else Big Red Machine-related I can get my hands on.

I got his autograph in Vegas during the NCAA Tourny last March ($80, if it wasn't a gift for my dad, who's a big Pete fan, I would have never done it). He was grumpy and scowling at Texas A&M on the TV. It appeared his ability to pick a winner is no better now than it was in 1985.
I'm looking forward to the doc. because Robert Pollard from Guided by Voices is doing the soundtrack.

Blind-betting 1-2 quinellas at the dog track is no path to instant riches, either.

    True. I prefer the 2-4.

If it's a rainy night and the water pools to the inside, I'll take the 7-8.

Oh, you mean CNN gave him a job anyway? Shocking, I'm telling ya.
