Anyone with knowledge of what the S-T is up to down there? Sunday's front page mentioned a new look coming next week for the S-T. I thought this paper was pretty well put together as it is, but I'm looking forward to seeing what's up.

And now we know why Design Thread v. 2.0 was created...

    You're a funny one, Cadet.

FWST is launching a new revisioning and redesign on Sunday. It's interesting to say the least, but has tested well among the focus groups that its targeted. (insert noise here)

Statistics show that no redesign has increased circulation, no matter how much Bakersfield wants to spin it. So that's not a reason for doing it.

More an effort to change up the way the news is presented.

One teaser - if you hated the NFL section covers that had no gamer starting out there, or no story start at all ...

Do you mean like the crap they pulled in the Chicago paper last season?

Didn't the Chicago paper in question give in and do game stories by the playoffs?

I think you're right. The experiment lasted one week. Stupid idea in the first place.

I think the Sun-Sentinel did the same thing, no?

The experiment lasted a lot longer than one week.

So is it an actual redesign or a simple shift in coverage focus?

Sometimes, better is the enemy of good enough.

Armchair, you didn't get the memo? Some of the old buildings are coming down, new ones popping up?

Yes, it's the paper. Carry on. :)
