So, what needs to be done to get it sold here?

EDIT: The gloss is packaged with a quick testing kit. The gloss itself is just gloss.

That lip gloss doesn't prevent date rape.

Are you arguing literally or semantically?

    Certainly not copiously

    This. Lazy headline writing.

"New lip gloss packaged with date-rape drug testing strips."

Technically, he's right. The testing kit sold with the lip gloss is what prevents date rape, or at least reveals the presence of date-rape drugs.

    So, semantics. Got it.

You say that dismissively. Accuracy matters.

It would be like taping condoms to the side of bottled water and saying the bottled water prevents STDs.

    It wasn't said belatedly

    Not at all analogous.

Taping condoms to bottled water makes no sense in any context.

I'm assuming using lip gloss was done by market researchers as a way to use discretion.

Now that we've completely gone off topic by arguing semantics, does anyone have any actual thoughts on the viability of the actual product?

What's the etiquette involved in dipping a test strip into a glass of booze without pissing off your date?
