Pretty hard to keep a book like this under wraps, but so far, no big leaks. Either they don't exist, or someone is doing a great job keeping a lid on this.

Maybe we'll resurrect the SJ Book Club for this one.

Supposedly people there are pretty freaked out about it.

That excerpt has me sold. I just hope Bob Ley is as candid about the rest of the operation as he was about Olbermann.

Our library shipments usually come in several days ahead of the release dates. I hope to have this in my hands before the rest of you suckers.

doubtful. oh, i'm anxious to read what ley has to say about espn's past employees, but he'll dish no dirt on anyone still there. nor woul i expect him to.

now, if this book includes blind quotes, we can all have fun speculating on who dished 'em out...

    The excerpt was outstanding.

I've always liked Bob Ley's work. I thought he came off as extraordinarily pleased with his own brilliance in Freeman's book. Curious to see if that continues in this book.

Andrew Miller and Tom Shales, the reporters behind this one, also did the oral history of Saturday Night Live.

It was absolutely riveting, even though it is a monster of a book. This should be fantastic, especially after reading that excerpt.

Riveting. I can offer this review even before seeing the book:

    I couldn't pick it up.

Will anyone under 30 even understand how great ESPN used to be?

    And yes, this looks amazing.
