Charges were dismissed when accuser could not be located.

To be acquitted you have to be found "not guilty". Hardy never was. Makes no difference in his life now, but only one judgment was found toward him in court, and that was a judgment of "guilty."

 

You don't see this kind of thing from Asian football players.

 

True. Charges were dismissed, and were actually expunged from his record the other day.
