My kids love it too. I agree 100 percent on the animation being creepy.

This came out sometime in the 1980s, but for those of you with kids Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas is a favorite at our house. My 4 year old would watch it three or four times a day if we let him. Put out by Jim Henson's crew and in many cases you can still see all the strings they were using to move the muppets around. But still very entertaining.

My 6-year-old actually thought it was scary because of the animation.

Bad Santa is a great movie.

Home Alone is a great Xmas movie.

Die Hard is one of the best action films ever. It holds up remarkably well.

Loved Bad Santa. Love Love, Actually. Bridget Jones Diary (the original not the horrible sequel) has some good Christmas scenes, too.

Home Alone is a good one to watch with the kids. They get a kick out of the wet burglers getting beat down.

    That's MY holiday tradition movie.

    Hilarious.

It's a Wonderful Life was mentioned. Here's what I don't get: When George is experiencing what the town would have been like without him, he finds that Mary's an old maid.

That's bull. Donna Reed was the prettiest girl in town. Mary would have found some other suitor.

'Elf' is borderline unwatchable, except when Zooey Deschanel is singing.
