new automobile tires

    Where I am they use to put metal studs in the tires. Great for traction in snow, but they found it wasn't very dry road friendly. Imagine that.

    My dad still has tire chains in his garage.

    And here's another vote for Sam's Club -- cheap AND reliable. I've been buying Goodyears there about as long as I've been driving, rarely had problems with my tires.
