Nevada player arrested for prostitution - dismissed from team

    I agree with the double standard, but a general question: the school can have a different set of rules when it comes to students and athletes than the state do, if I'm correct?

    I would assume that anything that sheds a bad light on the university will result in actions taken by said university. I would assume they view a scholarship as a privledge and not a right. And not to sound like an old fogie, but I agree.

    I'm guessing if she was arrested, what she was doing wasn't legal.

    Reminds me of the Arizona State cheerleader who started doing porn and actually wore her uniform in a scene.

    The company had to flip the film so the "ASU" on her uniform read "USA," but of course the S was backwards.

    She was immediately suspended and then booted later after meeting with the AD. If she told the AD, "I've been framed," OK, perhaps she gets to hang a bit ... but if she said "yeah, I was turning tricks," then it's time for her to go.

    BTW, the line from the comments section that asked if she was a "pole vaulter" was pure gold.
