Nebraska/Big Ten writers for USA TODAY magazine

USA TODAY is producing a 100-page glossy magazine commemorating Nebraska joining the Big Ten this season and is seeking freelance writers to contribute to various parts of the magazine. Work could include player profiles for the Nebraska roster this season, a look at the freshman class, a Big 8/12 retrospective, Big Ten team capsules and more.

If interested, please contact Harrison Goodman at hgoodman@usatoday.com. Please include a background in your level of familiarity with the Nebraska football program and the Big Ten.

Can't speak for the writing gig itself, but Harrison's a good guy to work with/for.

Something he won't tell applicants: You get bonus points if you FedEx him some Potbelly sandwiches with your resume.

    Update:

Man alive, did Harrison get swamped. Sent him an e-mail and he said he already had enough applicants, but he will likely keep names on file because USA TODAY is doing more of these glossy mags.

Forgot to mention Potbelly. Damn. :)

Thanks to everyone for the response. We've got enough folks for the Nebraska mag, but we're producing more of these glossy magazines in the future so I'll keep everyone's name on file and post again when something comes up.
