    There's always also:

"Since attempting to blind a guy gets you a half, I'm suspending him for two plays against Tennessee Tech."

    Oh, the hilarity ...

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes has had his suspension for apparently trying to gouge the eyes of a Georgia running back increased to a full game.
Coach Urban Meyer says it was in the best interest of the team for Spikes to serve a full-game suspension when the top-ranked Gators play Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Get serious! Ban him from all offensive plays the rest of the season!

    Depends on where you are.

East of Chicago probably gets that; West to Denver probably gets OU-Nebr.

West of Denver gets USC-Az. St.

    Along those lines ...

Auburn quarterback Jeff Burger was arrested for having a gun under his car seat during the summer of 1987. Coach Pat Dye said he would not start the opener against Texas. Back-up Reggie Slack took the first snap, and then Burger came in and finished the game.

Ryan, about that Iowa St. video, Rhodes pretty sealed the deal that he's staying in Ames until Pollard whacks him.

Pollard, for the most part, looks like a lucky genius for getting a guy who wants to be in Ames, as compared to Chizik, who couldn't wait to head back to the Plains quicker than a greased pig running around in a gym.

ESPN is reporting that Spikes have asked Urban to sit out the Vandy game (yes, the 1st and 2nd halves).

I wonder if Urban "told" Spikes to say that he wanted to sit this game out.
