NCAA tourney first round thread

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by MU_was_not_so_hard, Mar 19, 2008.

  1. If I know the culture of schools like Duke, the Duke message boards and Durham bars will soon be alight with talk of how at least we don't have to go to West Virginia, our SATs are better, etc., etc., etc.

I only know one person who went to Duke. He was filthy rich. The kid had a new sports car in high school. At our big graduation night shindig, he won a used car in a raffle. Rather than just letting them pick another name, he accepted the prize and then promptly sold the car. He was smart, I'll give him that. He went to med school and is now a dermatologist in Mesa.

Thanks Barsuk. No wonder there weren't many responses!

Here's the great Outside the Lines report on this from a few months ago:

It didn't hit me until I was watching the SD-UConn game on-line yesterday at work (yes, at work) that Jones went to San Diego. I second Gutter, you have to watch the report to fully grasp the "what if" that his dad went through when all hell broke loose in Guyana.
