    Being a newbie, I missed that memo. I mean, I knew it was WWE Royal Rumble day.

    But SJ Resurrection Day? Not even marked on the calendar.

    Building entry fee, bag inspection fee, stepping on the aqua blue carpet fee, use of NCAA-sponsored Dasani cup fee, work room fee, game notes in a vending machine and a pay-as-you-step plan ($0.02 a step, or $1,500 a week for unlimited steps).

    But remember, most of the student-athletes will go pro in something other than sports.

    I once saw a media member carrying a red Solo cup while bleeding profusely from the head, gasping for air and hobbling on one leg while the other was dangling horrifically.

    An NCAA rep switched out the cup.
