AU site is saying Urban Meyer had a conversation with Bond and Mullen and wanted the story pushed.

Meyer should know about directing booster money to the ministry of a paren.

Must be a run on tinfoil at the Auburn Piggly Wiggly.

Is it any coincidence that three months ago, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Anthony Davis also cost $200,000 to play basketball at Kentucky?

Is this the well-known going rate for top-flight college football and basketball players?

    Corruption is killing college football.

Pay the football players already. I'm tired of this shit.

Employed people with good incomes take bribes, too.

Don't know why anyone thinks this would stop if the players get a few bucks from the NCAA. An Escalade is going to be tempting no matter what.

only way to stop the agents is to get the NFLPA involved. permament license revocation.

Then let them get whatever they want, from whomever they want.

This can also get around the Title IX arguement. If a booster wants to pay $200K for a star football player, but not for a gymnast, there's nothing that can force him to do so.

Coaches are allowed to go to the highest bidder. Why not the players?

Oh, that's right. They're supposed to be these nice, innocent amateurs who are playing for the love of the game and their school. Sounds great and all. But once money got into the big sports, that went out the window.

Going pro didn't hurt the Olympics. It won't hurt college sports.

If they pay athletes to play college football, you would still have this problem.

This father seemed to have his hand out to the highest bidder for his son. Do you really think the dad would have said no to $200,000 because his kid is going to get $500 a month from MSA or Auburn?

My guess is that the agent took the $200,000 and gave it to the father's construction company to repair the church. This way the money is never on the books of the church. That place did not get fixed on its own.
