What is the line?

 

I mean, it's basically a pick 'em. Ohio State, last I checked, is a 1-point favorite. Kinda weird, though, since Miami's gonna win by 2 TDs at least.

 

As resident fanboi, I'd love to put up a good contradictory argument. I got nothin'.....

Capitalists vs. Convicts ???

 

Is it worth a three-hour drive (one way) to see Southern Cal play this weekend? Is it easy enough to get a ticket off an enterprising vendor standing on a street corner?

 

Seems like every year about this time we have an ACC-Big 12 or Pac-10-Big Ten matchup in the early going that is billed as having MASSIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IMPLICATIONS!!!! And then an SEC team ends up winning it anyway.

Apropos of nothing:
My freshman college roommate, who remains one of my best friends, still wears a tattered Rick Mirer jersey. I've emptied my arsenal of jokes, barbs, taunts and quips. Nothing works.

Last two weeks, this has worked: Wake up the echoes, etc.

I admire his stubbornness. Just wish he'd be stubborn about something worthwhile. Alas.
