Nah, Notre Dame decided to go green on offense before the season started. No more wins in that Prius.

I didn't see any of the shows (don't watch much network tv anymore). But how ironic was it on msnbc's morning joe news when they were talking about how the lights on the rockafeller center christmas tree would be special ones that used less electricity.

Gee thanks, guys, now maybe next year you could try not cutting down an 80-foot tree, then driving it into the city with a police escort.

They also went out of their way to point out that the tree would be recycled as obstacles at an equestrian center. That made me feel much better about it.

That's why Ted was there. They don't use Ted if they want to make a serious effort at passing along a message.

I was thinking about the green week, whether the shows were being serious or mocking the idea and have decided that despite how annoying it has been, I don't totally hate it. I'm not a tree hugger by any means. My lame second job includes burning fuel every day with lots of driving. But if the green week causes people to even cut back a little and be "green" for even a single day, it has still made a difference. The drought in the south has probably opened my eyes the most, but some of the "green" shows have had a few decent tips. I'll hush now before I start sounding too sappy.

I've been thinking about it too and have decided that NBC has been taken over by a bunch of flaming liberals with an agenda.
