    Veteran daily journalist in Sacramento available for assignments when beat reporters don't make the trip to Sacramento for the 2009-2010 season.

    Covered the NBA for more than a decade for AP and freelanced along the way to a few dailies and other periodicals, USA Today to The Sporting News, Seattle Times to Miami Herald.

    Wouldn't mind going back.

    The new season is what, five weeks away?

    Just give me a day or two notice, and I'll come off the bench.
