Trade Grades: Pelicans shipping Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams to Grizzlies for Jonas Valanciunas, per report

Pelicans now at No. 17
Grizzlies at 10

 

Because they're the Grizzlies, I'm kind of assuming they have cap space to eat those two contracts, plus, Bledsoe and Adams have their uses in a rotation. Taking them on to move up seven spots seems like a pretty good swap.

 

Jesus Fucking Christ. But I'd be OK if Russ got a ring. He deserves one more than that total sellout KD.

 

Then Russ happened

 

If Russ put his efforts towards what the Lakers really need from a PG, he could be awesome as could the Lakers (of course when he played the W's, they're so far in his head its over).

 

Hield fits better on the team than Westbrook - Career 40 percent shooter from 3-point range, and you get plenty of wide open looks with LeBron and Davis on the floor.

I don't think Westbrook fits particularly well if LeBron and Davis are healthy. Every shot he takes is probably taking away a shot from them, and Westbrook isn't an especially good defensive player now. He's useful if LeBron or Davis are hurt, and you need a guy to eat a massive amount of minutes while producing OK.

 

If the trade goes through the Lakers have:

LeBron
AD
Russ
Marc Gasol
Alphonso McKinnie

And that's it. That's the full roster. And no money left.

Those three better be fucking AMAZING.

 

This Laker following thinks for that team, Heild > Russ. The last thing the Lakers need to do is get older.

 

I'd agree if I thought Hield was very good. I'm not on the bandwagon there.
