NBA Draft Signings

    from stories i've read in the minneapolis papers, the t'wolves hold rubio's rights as long as he is playing professionally outside of the nba.

    also, after the 2010-11 season, the t'wolves are the only NBA team which can buy out his contract. but other international teams can buy out the contract for $1.4 million, too.

    If Rubio plays out this contract and signs another one in Europe, I think Minnesota still keeps his rights.

    Reading the CBA, they would have one year to sign him from when he is free to join them. Provided they make a tender offer, he doesn't sign with the T-Wolves and he doesn't sign a contract with any other foreign team, he re-eneters the draft after a year. If he sits out another year, he is a free agent. Of course that would mean that he sits out for 2 years
