Escort services and dope dealers proved this a long time ago. What's your point?

My point? If you have to ask, there's no point trying to explain it to you.

As much as I hate bumping this horrible thread, here's a piece on Zuckerman that former colleague Patrick Hruby did:

    Horrible thread?

Would you people man up, please? This has been one of the best threads of 2010.

It's relevant, interesting, contains some good back-and-forth.

If you want to see a horrible thread, go read about somebody named Chef2 scraping a corn off his foot with a razor blade.

    From the ESPN story...

I wish every blogger would cut this out and paste it on to his computer screen.

Keep in mind, Mark is a blogger in name only. He has a credential, he has access, etc. He just takes his info and posts it on a Web site - hence he gets the blogger label.
    He's a beat writer. Not a blogger.

The quote above was from an actual blogger, and it was referring to Mark as the beat writer. I guess I didn't make that clear.

Back when I was doing precisely what Mark is doing, I referred to myself this way: "I'm not a blogger. I'm a writer who blogs."

The quoted blogger is also a very good one - the best of them realize the distinction between actual beat reporting and blogging. As a blogger myself, I damn sure know they're not one and the same.

Mark is doing actual beat reporting VIA a blog (for now). Something will break for him soon. He's too good, way too good, to be hanging out with us clowns in mom's basement.
