My greatest fear is coming true

    move east for a month or two. Once the bears start to hibernate it will be safe to go home.

    It's happening here as well. Not in Toronto but bears are showing up in the strangest places in rural/semi-rural areas.

    Reasons are the same as SC cited but the dimwith former PM of Ontario outlawed the bear hunt a number of years ago so we have the classic problem: too many critters, not enough food.

    Tragic story that happened years back to a Dal basketball player. Carrie Fair was attacked by a bear and she was not able to play basketball because of her injuries sustained.

    We got 'em. One caught in a suburn not more than a month ago. But he was a particularly docile animal and kind of gave people a 'hey, how are ya' nod when he saw them.

    Bizarre.
