    I'd really have to be an idiot to do all of that, be one of the first ones back on the board two different times, then seriously admit to doing it.

    Is there a feature that beats you on the head and notifies of a pending PM like the old SportsJournalists.com did?

    Yes... go into your profile and edit your PM settings. You can click a box that will give you a pop-up when you have a new PM.

    The default setting is that a little (1) comes up next to the "My Messages" tab when you get a new PM.
