And if you have Amazon music, listen to the Allman Bros station.

In news that makes me just unreasonably happy...

New music from The Faces? Oh, HELL yes. I don't think there's a single reunion that would make he happier. If they tour I may have to quit my job and just follow them across the country.

I picked it up on Record Store Day on Saturday. It’s pretty damn good.

I stumbled across an album by this band in the late '80s, bought it with no idea of what they sounded like. Since then I've become their deadhead, attending every concert/performance I can by any of its members. It has become more of a challenge since the frontman moved to Cbicago and became a mainstay for the Bloodshot record label.

One of the tunes that got my attention back in the Reagan era --

A more recent effort by frontman Jon Langford --

Not what they once were, but they still got it.

I'm sure I'll get roasted for posting this - but I can't think of another song that speaks of the awkwardness of the "friend circle" after a break-up. Plus, I love all the musicians in this. Grolnick, Sklar, Waddy, don't know who the drummer is (Rick Moratta?)- but they've played on countless favorite songs.

This song was 2 1/2 years too soon. This band kind of (musically, if not in presentation) threaded the same needle between hair metal and nascent grunge that G 'n'R and Faith No More did in my day.
