The Orlando Sentinel seeks a multimedia reporter to assist with coverage of the NBA's Orlando Magic, college football, breaking news and more. We're looking for a journalist who understands that today's storytelling goes beyond subject and verb and blends words together with video, audio and social media.

You will shoot, edit and post video from practices, games, shootarounds, etc.

You will utilize social media to provide “as it’s happening” updates from practices, games, news conferences, etc.

You'll produce and host daily videocasts that offer the latest news, information and analysis.

You'll blog, blog and blog some more, primarily on our award-winning Orlando Magic blog. You'll run live chats with video. You'll make television and radio appearances as requested.

You'll write features, breaking news and projects for print and web.

Send cover letter, resume and work samples to:

Oh gee, this won't get a single sniff. (Forgot to turn on the blue font.)

Thanks so much for posting, Tim. Good luck to those who apply.

Does this take the place of Tania Ganguli's old job? Can't imagine them adding a position when there are two pressing vacancies on the staff -- if anything, seems they're likely to fill just one of them.

If they replace Adelson, the perfect person would be Alan Schmadke (sp?), who I think is working for online at the Sentinel. He knows college football as well as anyone and would be perfect to take over the blog.

Alan is the online content editor. He still contributes to the college blog whenever he wishes to or has time.

Columnist George Diaz is going to pick up NASCAR for the 6-8 races we cover annually. He previously covered auto racing.

We are seeking a multimedia reporter to contribute to the Magic blog and other duties, including help with the Daytona races. No regular NASCAR duties, though.

Is this for an experienced reporter or new to the business? Any salary range?

Massive endorsement from this former employee of Tim. Jump on this bad boy, if you haven't already.

As soon as possible as this reporter will have a role in college football coverage too.
