    Ben, a friend and I were sitting around drunk a long time ago trying to come up with a definition of "comedy." We settled on a Tony Randall quote we found, which was something along the lines of, "Comedy is something bad happening to someone else." We decided there is a line in which you go from funny to sadistic, though. Watching a guy running to catch a subway and seeing the doors snap shut on his nose is funny. Watching a guy get tossed off a bridge is not... unless it's Roger Clemens.
